The opera-novel Sverliytsy in the Stanislavsky Electrotheatre in Moscow

The text examines a new opera project entitled Sverliytsy premiered at the Stanislavsky Electrotheatre in Moscow in 2015. Boris Yukhananov, since 2013 artistic director of the theatre and author of the main concept, libretto and staging of this opera-novel in five parts, invited six Russian composers to collaborate: Dmitri Kourliandski, Boris Filanovsky, Alexey Sioumak, Sergej Newski, Alexey Sysoev and Vladimir Rannev, as well as performers from the new music scene: The Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, the vocal ensemble Questa Musica and three soloists from the group N’Caged.
